Injustice of ICC to PCB - PCB asks for the clarification upon Several Issues of Pakistani Crickters

Sports, Cricket News : Najam Sethi, the PCB chief, said Saturday that he would ask for explanation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) over inconsistency in penalizing players for ball tampering.

“Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is writing letter to ICC seeking explanation of inconsistency by match referee in application of ball tampering rule to Afridi vs Faf,” Sethi tweeted.

Earlier, South African player Faf du Plessis was fined 50 percent of the match fee by an ICC match referee despite pleading guilty of tampering the ball in the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai.

The lenient penalty promoted strong reaction from current and former Pakistani players, who accused the world cricket body of practicing double standards.

Speaking to media persons in Karachi, Shahid Afridi said that “our cricketers should not be subjected to discriminatory treatment on such charges.”
